Greenville, SC – In the wake of the Southern Baptist Convention’s resolution against the display of the Confederate Flag, Bill Jones of Hillcrest Baptist Church has decided to wear Confederate Flag underwear.
“I have to keep things on the down-low now,” explained Bill. “Pride in my Southern heritage has forced my display to go south due to the Northern Aggression in St. Louis and Nashville. Just as the War was over states’ rights to keep slaves, and not slavery, this coming church war is over individual rights and Christian freedom to display a symbol of racism, not racism. Northerners have infiltrated the SBC. They must be stopped.”
Bill is planning on organizing a manly secret society of fellow Confederates. At meetings in his living room, they will be free to brandish their Rebel boxers or briefs tens of people will see. Bill says, “With planning and a network of societies the South will rise again. In 10 years you will see. We will be wearing ties with the Battle Flag at church again.”
Bill’s African-American brother in Christ has enjoyed Bill’s decision. Marcus said, “It is so much fun to pants him after church and complain about his violation of the resolution.”
